The new education policy 2020 announced to revamp the education system. It has been delightfully welcomed by higher educational institutes and experts. The 6 percent investment of GDP in the education sector will indeed get numerous profits. It will level up the quality and scope of education.

Most experts shared their valuable opinions about the new education policy 2020, saying that it is a bold step toward the right direction. They believe and state that this policy will fetch the mission of “literate India”. This policy universalizes education from pre-school to the secondary levels with a 100 percent Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in school education by 2030. The motive is to raise GER in higher educations as well up to 50 percent by the year 2025. It is expected from all the educational universities to contribute to this policy’s success. The policy has introduced multiple exits and entry options for the Undergraduates which adds to the convenience of the youth. This system will benefit the youth in laying out their plans and work accordingly.

This policy also encourages students to be involved in their research works rather than blindly copying the text from their textbooks. It is all about practicing the learned knowledge, applying it, and observing the results. This system is a binary of research and teaching, the focus on research will foster a strong culture for innovation. It’ll enhance contemporary India’s requirements by letting the youth possess skills to ace the dynamic business and economic environments.

What Lies Ahead?

Unlike the miserable past experiences of Indian students, because of the reforms, the students will be eligible for the top-ranked global programs. The reforms of having a self-declaration system that brings a 4-year undergraduate program replace the burdensome inspection system. It adds a year after the 12+3 to help students apply and work effectively at global levels.

In short, the new education policy is a step towards the effective evolution of the education system. The modern workspace requires dynamic skills, that can’t be categorized into science, commerce, or humanities streams. Thus, the option in a choice of subjects, the flexibility is much appreciated. The future awaits self-efficient people who will excel at a particular field and also possess skills to try their abilities in others as well.
