As the pandemic is not yet fully over but surely comes to a low phase, we are already observing many changes in many sectors whether it is education, entrepreneurship, leadership, or communication. There has been a trend going on due to the effects of pandemics. However, the trends of 2021 and expected trends of 2022 are very much similar to each other as the world is not yet fully recovered from the pandemic.

Here are some of the trends followed in 2021 and the expected trends of 2022 are -:

Education

Due to the pandemic, our life has changed all of a sudden. It has made some of the drastic changes in our daily life which would rather take years but thanks to the pandemic. Education has also faced this change. Earlier education was about going to school or University having books but not now. Now we are having a blend of online and offline studies. In 2021, most parts of the year were still dependent upon online virtual classes but now it seems that in 2022, we could see a blend of traditional and advanced ways of learning.

Entrepreneurship

The State of Indian Startup Ecosystem Report 2021, according to it, India has over 5,694 active investors and 38K startups. It shows that the trend of entrepreneurship and startup boom is increasing.

Some of the Current Trends in Entrepreneurship Development are:-

  • Launch of Startup India
  • Spend on social media and digital marketing is increasing
  • Growth in new technology and its adaptation
  • Micro-influencers are helping drive sales
  • Growth of Entrepreneur Communities
  • Re-establishing connections with colleagues

In 2022, leaders should create opportunities for deeper connections with their companies. Organizations must have a culture of listening, understanding, and inspiring employees to feel more connected.

Communication and Leadership

Here are some of the leading trends of communication and leadership to keep an eye on in recent times and for the near future.

It is important to focus on the formation of a clear strategy for better communication. Continuous focus on employees’ well-being is also an important issue. Putting a primary focus on lateral communication is also essential.

A study shows that 32% of professionals said that they would not go back to the office full time. Similarly, 36% of professionals said that they planned to take a different job shortly because the pandemic has allowed them to re-evaluate what they want and the change they need.

Moving from disruption to reinvention — The pandemic showed how organizations change, what they did, and how they did it because they had no other options due to the lack of future planning. So it is necessary to now focus on reinvention.

Vaster representation of talent — It is required to overcome the looming aforementioned talent shortage. So organizations are easing up on job qualifications, such as four-year college degrees.
